Research and Development

Lydall's R&D strategy focuses on two primary goals; Continuous performance, cost and quality improvement of our existing media and revolutionary breakthroughs for new filtration applications and requirements. Building upon the development of LydAir® SC we recently introduced our proprietary high alpha media line and our innovative RediPleat technology for air filtration. In liquid filtration LyPore® XL is expanding with new grades for new markets, and our dual-layer ActiPure® carbon media is enabling our customers to simplify their manufacturing process and increase their margins.

Our roadmap for next generation media addresses the most difficult filtration challenges. Air quality, health consciousness and concerns, supply of clean drinking water, protection from terrorism, improved lifestyle, product performance and increasing regulatory requirements are creating new opportunities in filtration.
